The European arts and crafts sector is reaching a decisive milestone! After a 48-month journey that began in June 2022, the MOSAIC project (Mastering job-Oriented Skills in Arts & crafts thanks to Inclusive Centres of vocational excellence) is ready to share the results of its extensive transnational cooperation.

Co-funded by the European Union, this initiative brought together 19 organizations across 8 countries, including EU and non-EU partners like Canada and Armenia. This diverse ecosystem of vocational training centers, universities, chambers of commerce, and research institutions has worked tirelessly to redefine excellence in the sector.

The final event features dedicated working sessions for partners and a high-level public conference open to all stakeholders!

🚀 Applied Excellence

The conference, titled “Applied excellence: vocational training as a strategic catalyst for SME innovation and territorial development”, marks the formal conclusion of the MOSAIC project. It aims to position the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system as a primary driver of skills innovation and a vital infrastructure for applied research supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and craft businesses.

💡 Inspired by successful international models, such as Canada’s College Technology Transfer Centres (CTTCs), the project proposes a paradigm shift. In this new model, training centers act as hubs for digital prototyping and technology transfer, solving concrete problems for businesses while ensuring educational programs remain at the cutting edge.
