Expanding Horizons through MOSAIC Blended Learning Experiences
Blended mobilities in the MOSAIC project combine the virtual part (power of digital education) with the physical (transformative impact of international travel), offering students a unique opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Designed to connect learners across Europe and beyond, these programmes combine online collaborative learning activities with short or long-term physical mobilities focused on Arts & Crafts. Even learners who cannot travel can participate meaningfully through the digital component, fostering intercultural exchange and key competence development — a concept known as internationalisation at home.
Go explore the catalogue to discover inspiring opportunities developed by our partner schools – each one a unique journey into craftsmanship, innovation and cultural immersion.
Virtual part
The Virtual component is designed to take place before, during, and after the physical exchange, using digital tools and platforms to enhance learning and cross-cultural collaboration. Throughout this journey, students from both the sending and hosting organisations will work together on a shared topic related to Arts & Crafts, engaging in joint activities such as virtual workshops, collaborative projects, and peer discussions. This blended approach guarantees that learning continues beyond borders and timelines, making each experience more inclusive, flexible, and impactful.
Physical part
The physical mobility component is offered in two formats, each tailored to provide a rich and immersive learning experience.
The short-term mobility, lasting 14 days, takes place in a partner VET school, where international learners join local students in classroom-based activities. During this time, they follow dedicated training modules, participate in workshops, and experience the school’s unique expertise.
The long-term mobility extends over 30 days and focuses on work-based learning. Learners take part in internships hosted by local companies specialised in the Arts & Crafts sector, gaining direct insight into real professional environments. These experiences are designed for learners over 18 and aim to bridge the gap between training and the labour market, while offering valuable international exposure and skill development.
