  • Post category:News

The Vocational High School of Agriculture “Todor Rachinski” in General Toshevo is one of the 28 approved vocational high schools in the country and the only one in the Dobrich district where Centers of Excellence in Vocational Education and Training (CoVEs) will be established under Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide modern, high-tech resources to vocational high schools, transforming them into Centers of Vocational Excellence in the Vocational education and training (CoVEs in VET). This will offer students the opportunity for advanced vocational training within the framework of their school education, addressing the social changes of the 21st century and the evolving demands of the labor market.

The high school will develop five professional areas, and the center will not only train students but also offer opportunities for continuous education to keep up with new labor market trends and business needs.

Professional area “Design”

The design program will provide a comprehensive selection of disciplines related to design, including but not limited to graphic design (branding, typography, digital illustration, and print media) and interior design (spatial planning, materials, and environmental aesthetics). It is aimed at designers and investors who have a solid understanding of creating original projects and works of visual art, alongside technical documentation and engineering drawings. The development of the center will facilitate hands-on practice, real-world work experience, and the automation and visualization of the design process. The program will integrate theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and creative problem-solving, equipping students with the expertise required for success in the constantly evolving design industry.

Professional area “Applied Informatics”

The future center for informatics and robotics will offer two specialized, modernly equipped labs. These labs will provide students, as well as anyone interested, with a broad range of opportunities for development and career advancement in fields such as web design, web-based programming, object-oriented programming, cybersecurity, computer networks, artificial intelligence, and computer game development. Training at the center will offer access to the latest technologies across all areas of informatics and information technology.

Professional area “Microbiology, Laboratory Assistants”

A microbiology laboratory will be established at the center, where students will be introduced to various fields of research. They will have the opportunity to experiment with different foods and beverages, while also learning how to work effectively in teams and think critically and creatively. The knowledge gained will not only benefit current students but will also emphasize the importance of lifelong learning.

Professional area “Plant and Animal Husbandry”

The concept of this program is to focus on plant cultivation, agricultural machinery, and road safety, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical training through the use of modern methods and advanced technologies. An experimental field and new workshops will be established. One of the key elements of the project is the construction of a photovoltaic greenhouse, as well as a fully automated and robotic greenhouse.

Professional area “Economy”

The center will provide opportunities aligned with the future needs of the economic sector. It will allow students, as well as anyone interested, to explore a wide range of fields, including finance, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, statistics, enterprise accounting, and more. The training will focus on the latest tools and practices in economic sciences.

The project will offer a modern, advanced, and high-tech infrastructure, along with opportunities for practical training integrated into the school curriculum. This will include laboratories, workshops, simulations and real project spaces, ensuring students receive modern and high-quality education.
