We are pleased to announce the third edition of CIMAD, the International Conference on Crafts and Design. This year, the event brings together a diverse group of 20 searchers, craftspersons and artists from seven countries: France, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Italy, the USA, Morocco, and Latvia.

“TELL ME! What do you feel? Exploring Bodily and Implicit Knowledge in Arts & Crafts”
This edition focuses on the expertise and the knowledge held in the body and the hands that is often difficult to put into words. By focusing on implicit knowledge, the conference seeks to bridge the gap between physical sensation and how to teach and share this implicit knowledge.
Objectives
- Reunite searchers on a specific subjects to talk about it
- Understand how it works for searchers and craftspersons regarding bodily experiences
- Analysing skills and practices of artists and craftspersons
