Fermo, Italy 🇮🇹

Fermo is an historic town steeped in the charm of a distant and fascinating past. Perched on a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside and the Adriatic Sea, it is located in the Marche region, in the centre of Italy.
Fermo’s origins date back to the time of the Picentes, and its history continues through the Roman era, the many events of the Middle Ages, and into modern times. Evidence of this rich and varied past can be found throughout the city: monuments, churches filled with precious works and relics, towers and museums that welcome visitors all year round.
The town boasts two natural scenic backdrops: on one side, the Adriatic Sea, just eight kilometres from the city centre, and on the other, the inland landscape, dotted with historical villages nestled among rolling hills that lead up to the slopes of the Sibillini Mountains.
Thanks to the area’s distinctive fashion production system, based on small and medium-sized enterprises, tourists can enjoy shopping at factory outlets of top international designers and discover local excellence in arts and crafts.
