Application requirements
Students who wish to participate in the long-term blended mobility programmes under the MOSAIC project must be over 18 years old and apply through open calls of their schools. These calls will clearly state the number of available places and the evaluation criteria. Each participating school is responsible for carrying out the selection autonomously, based on its internal procedures. Priority may be given to students who demonstrate motivation, readiness to engage in intercultural learning, and alignment with the learning objectives of the specific study programme. This type of mobility has a stronger component of work based learning.
Participants must be second or final year VET EQF level 4 students in furniture making
Participants must have successfully passed work safety requirements
Espoo and Helsinki, Finland
Espoo is the second biggest city in Finland.
It is rather a group of 6 centres than one big city, because there is no single centrum in Espoo, but 6 different centrums, which are located around 10-15 km from each other. There are forests and fields in between, but the public traffic is very good.
We will help our incoming students to buy local traffic tickets for their stay at half price. Therefore we need every participant name, birth date and accommodation address beforehand to prepare the discount forms for that purpose for the local traffic provider.
There are 92 lakes in Espoo and a lot of winter activity possibilities.
There are also a lot of public saunas, so every guest should take their swimming suit and flip flops with him/her, when travelling to Finland, to be able to test this very Finnish activity with us, while being here.
Espoo is only 20 km away from Helsinki, making it easily accessible by public transport or car.
Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is a lively seaside city blending modern design, historical architecture, and Nordic charm. With its unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, Helsinki offers world-class museums, cozy cafes, and a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. The city’s many islands, parks, and cultural events make it an exciting destination year-round.
